I got diagnosed with HIV 5 days ago. My CD4 count is 25, I'm looking healthy but does this mean I have a stage of AIDS. And if so, after prescribed my meds will I go back to having HIV or will I still have AIDS. I'm so lost and confused.
I have been sick with the cold for a while now, and very stressed out. I usually get one cold sore a year, and as far back as I remember it’s always been in the same spot on my bottom lip. Today I woke to 4 tiny blisters close together in a group on my upper lip. I have never had an outbreak that looks like this before. Is it possible to catch a different strain of hsv1? Or is it fairly normal to experience different types of blisters? I’m happily married but I realize you can contract hsv1 through sharing drinks etc.
Its been about a month now and I feel like it definitely is too late to get tested. I just wanna know if anyone else had symptoms like these and ended up having herpes.
I was prescribed Valtrex 250mg 3 times per day and it helped with the actual sore but the other symptoms are still moderate to severe. I have read that some people have post herpetic neuralgia with HSV 2. How long does it last?
