So I was diagnose in Aug. '09. Although blood was never drawn, herpes was detected on my pap smear. I fully intend to have blood drawn at my checkup this month. I have read that if someone has it orally and gives oral sex it can be transmitted to the genitals that way. My question is does that also apply the other way around? If giving someone whose HSV-2 positive oral sex, can it be transmitted then orally? Not sure if I'm making sense, can't really word it the way I want too.
