I didn't know there were herpes 1 and 2 - I get cancer sores in my mouth and occasional sores in the genital area. My question is if I have herpes 1 and I date a guy with herpes 2 - will i get #2 if it's somewhat the same virus as #1 and will the outbreak be a that first REALLY BAD outbreak? Also the tv advertises abriva for stopping the virus of cold sores - I thought cold sores were herpes 1, so could you put abriva on the genitals to stop the spread of the virus there and reduce the time span of it? -
