I am 48, and at some point soon I'll be hitting menopause. My question is when I am in that stage, will I have more out breaks? I've had HSV 2 for over 2 years now and have only had 1 outbreak. I am in tune with my body and do all natural remedies, but am unsure if menopause will increase outbreaks?
After 40 years having this with all the education I have acquired about it, it would have absolutely nothing to do with menopause. If you have only had one outbreak in your first two years you should do very well and it should continue to diminish even greater over time. However, stress is a big factor and if menopause causes more than it may affect outbreaks. Stay away from arginine (peanuts, chocolate, etc) and take Lysine .
