    Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated :) 've read a bit more and it does help, however it seems there is never a definitive answer about type 1 or type 2 Confusing. :|

    From what I have been told 1 is only contagious when visible and 2 is constantly contagious. A blood test is the way to find out which one you have and confirm this information with your doctor. Hope this helps?
