I have HSV 2 and recently for a month I have been feeling burning sensations, they are intermittent. It has no lesions or anything? Can prodrome symptoms last that long? Or is it something else?

    The oncoming of herpes outbreaks isn't always seen. Sometimes it never gets past the burning/tingling, especially if you take efforts to reduce the inflammation and further triggers. Usually when I get little sleep, or am stressing out, I'll feel it coming on. Before I got on chronic suppression, I'd usually have to use something like Abreva and menthol-heavy SPF chapstick to keep it from turning into fever blisters.

    Are you feeling stressful? I have had "false alarms) many times. For me it is a tingling feeling.
