I just recently found out I have hsv 2 and the person I got it from said he never had it before but has little brown round scars on his genital area where it looks like he has had them before. After an outbreak occurs does it leave discolored skin after it heals up?

    Although the red, inflamed skin looks really yucky, there is very little scarring or discoloration on the surface of the skin. Once the outbreak is finished, there should be no reminder afterward. BUT, that depends on whether or not you scratched the livin' crap out the very itchy blisters.
