I have been recently diagnosed with genital HSV 2. I have never had a cold sore on my mouth but now am experiencing random tingling and a blurry lip line. Do I assume that I have oral HSV 2 also? Do I need a separate swab test to diagnose oral HSV2? Would my original vaginal swab have detected HSV 1 at the same time?
