I'm newly diagnosed with HPV. My partner denies ever having a genital wart outbreak. How do I know if she's being honest and if I really caught HPV from her?
Really there is no cure. The virus is always in the body and can still be transmitted even if partner does not exhibit symptoms. Some people may never even know they have it at all. Once you have it, you always have it. Your body can only keep it at bay. Genital warts are the obvious forms of HPV. Many strains☹️.Keeping immune system strong helps.
Pap smears may come up negative for abnormal cells for women, leading one to think they no longer are infected. That's not true. It's just not active. That's why regular paper smears are so important. It's a proactive step to fight against potential cancer causing cells which could be from HPV.

It is nice to know that the body can fight and cure HPV. I learned something here.
