Oral Sex and Genital Warts
Hello, I am a 25 year old male, who has never shown signs of a wart-causing HPV on my genitalia (Which doesn't mean I am not already carrying the virus). I recently gave oral sex to a female friend who did not inform me of their HPV status before I went down on them. They were having an active outbreak of genital warts at the time, and they only reason they told me is because I "Noticed" something was not right.
What are the chances I will have warts appear in/around my mouth?
Also, even if I don't show symptoms of warts does this mean I can still spread the virus orally to other folks by kissing them?
I will of course by telling everyone that such a thing has happened, and I have asked this person to go to her doctor to get the strain of HPV identified so that I can inform partners to be vaccinated with Gardasil if it is one of the strains the vaccine protects against.
